THEATRE WORKSHOPS
Through its Theatre Arts Division, Education Avenues offers classes and programs in theatre and aerial skills. We have been working with many schools in India, South America and Europe and offer entry-level, special-interest and auditioned classes for students of all ages.
This workshop is designed for middle high school students who have a strong interest and passion for theatre. Our theatre and acting skills are what we call physical theater– where the focus are the body, voice and mind to develop characters. We begin by working on the neuter body, understanding space and then creating characters In this the students improvise as well as exercise concentration, coordination and focus on mind and group exercises to develop attention and sense of awareness on stage. Its an evolution of physical actions becoming small pieces of scenes and then transforming into a play of characters created from voice and body..
Theatre classes are for students ages 10 onwards. Group size is 15-20 students in each batch.
